[Advisory] Becta and Wifi

Many thanks for the replies about Becta's stance on Wifi (and apologies for
forgetting to put a subject line in my email !!)

I have a further question:

I was under the impression that wireless networks were seen as a viable
alternative to cabling. Indeed, that the advantages of being wireless (such
as easy access for laptops) made them positively encouraged.

There was, of course, quite a lot of talk about possible safety issues as
well.

Has the advice actually changed? For example, is wireless regarded as less
desirable for safety (or other) reasons? And should there always be a wired
network, perhaps for backup?

I'm not exactly sure I know what I'm talking about so please feel free to
put me right. Or even in my place!
