Yes, John,
=20
I, too, remember the Doomsday 13=94 disc and worked very hard developing
school lessons based on that technology. But that did not stop me =
searching
its limitations and benefits and thus all the better being able to =
evaluate
the next technology. But what if the $50 tablet does emerge? What if
compatible formats are developed? What if the NDRB are prepared to =
supply
in this format? Will you be ready for it? Surely, =91It is better to =
have
loved, thought and lost than never to have thought at all.=92?

Dear me, haven't we been here before.=20
=20
Remember when multimedia CD Roms were going to transform learning, then =
the
web. And yet we still have books. Indeed we will still have books in =
2020
because unless someone comes up with a =A350 ebook reader which also =
connects
to the internet and lasts at least 10 hours on a charge, saves work on a
network and can be written and stored on...books will still be a cheaper
more viable option.
=20
I guarantee that once the Apple iTablet is launched we'll have same =
stories
from Apple's corp of believers that it will transform learning just like =
the
ipod was going to. Or Cd Roms. At least one Academy will equip every kid
with one and be a press darling until their results come out.=20
=20
Another application in search of a use.
