Hi Phil,
Be worth asking about this on the K-12 Moodle Forums (
http://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=4792) and on Open Source Schools (
http://opensourceschools.org.uk) .
There are a number of open content Moodle courses out there which you could
mod. including from the OU through Open Learn's LabSpace (
http://labspace.open.ac.uk/) (HE but it's a start), the National Digital
Resource Bank (http://www.ndrb.org.uk/), and Linux for Education (
http://www.linux-for-education.org/).
